FAQ's

When is the best time to trim?
If the tree is a safety hazard, anytime is the best time. Most trees according to ISA & NAA should be trimmed between fall and early spring, however there are other variables depending on species.

How do I prevent my tree from being a victim of a wind or rain storm?
Wind: It is important to allow the wind to move through freely. It's recommended trees be cut on a regular basis, allowing the wind to blow through freely, reducing breakage, and the likely hood of the tree falling.
Rain: Trees on slopes are at the most risk during a rain storm.

What's wrong with my tree?
Another reason to hire a certified arborist, is that an arborist is trained to diagnose and help you learn about your trees. *Although arborists are trained to look for signs, diagnosis may not always be accurate. WIth soil and leaf samples for lab studies diagnosis in most bases is accurate.

What type of prunning should be done?
This depends on the type and location of the tree. In most cases lacing a tree by 30% allows wind to move through the tree, and reduces the risk of limb breakage. Raising allows you to be able to see under the tree and gives you more mobility around the base of the tree. Safely trimming consists of removing obviously weak branches, dead branches including bark, heavy limbs, broken limbs, over hanging limbs.

Are you insured?
